In 1998,  Rob Schlipper & Magnus McGlashan founded Pacsafe. The founders started the company with the vision of helping travelers around the world to embrace life's adventures, worry-free. Both of them love to hitchhike, sail, trek and travel.

The two adventurers know how difficult it is to sleep on top of their backpacks to keep their belongings safe while travelling. They've also gone through the heartbreak of having their passports stolen. All of their past anxiety resulted in the idea of producing anti-theft backpacks, leisure bags, hip packs, compact wallets and even women’s organisers. All of these products were created to give travelers peace of mind as they enjoy their voyage.

For Schlipper and McGlashan, the biggest reward is to see a Pacsafe bag on a traveler's back in an airport queue, or an anti-theft hip pack on a biker as they navigate a packed city street. The founders, who love to travel themselves, like to think  that they can always enjoy their journey to the fullest knowing that their gear is secure wherever they go.
